Hey guys, this is my first blog! I'm going to start out with a little-bitty intro about who I am!
My name is Kara Marie (Marie being my middle name- I really like it). I was born in Greeley, Colorado but I grew up in Aurora, Colorado. I have an older brother who I currently share an apartment with along with 2 other super nice people. I'm a sophomore in college at the University of Wyoming and I'm studying Petroleum Engineering!
Some of my hobbies include video games, golfing, and doing makeup. The games I usually play (when I have time to) are Minecraft- PC and Xbox, Portal & Portal 2- Xbox, and CoD: MW2 & MW3 for the Xbox.
If any of you want to, you're more than welcome to add me on Xbox Live, my gamertag is: super lemon7777.
I started golfing my freshman year of high school after I didn't make the volleyball team and I really didn't have an interest for cheerleading or poms (mainly, I didn't want to be associated with the girls that were in the squads). Golf ended up being a life changing sport as I realized that I'm not a team player and golf was more of an individual sport which proved equally challenging and also extremely fun.
My other hobby is doing makeup. I've always had a weird admiration for makeup since I was really little actually. One of my first experiences with it was when I was at my day-sitter's house and I guess I was a "bad kid" and I always had to stay in my day-sitter's bedroom during nap time and one day while she was sleeping, I snuck into her bathroom and put on all of her makeup that I could get my hands on. I didn't realize the damage I had done until my day-sitter woke up. Needless to say, my mom swore that I'd never be allowed to wear makeup till I was at least 16. It didn't exactly end up that way. I ended up getting my first eyeliner when I was 12 from Ulta. It was a big, fat, light brown one that wasn't too dramatic or noticeable. Even then, I didn't complain because I was excited that I was actually getting my own makeup. My makeup collection began to grow and I now own some of the top-notch products out there (thanks to my parents of course!) Some of my favorite products include the Naked and Naked 2 Eye Shadow Palettes from Urban Decay, and my brush set from Coastal Scents.

This is just one of the many looks I've done!I've done quite a few of these "looks" because for Christmas, I was given the 252 Eye Shadow Palette from Coastal Scents and there are SO MANY colors in it that sometimes all you can do is just do some late night experimenting to see how the colors look and which ones work well with each other.
That's the fun about makeup. You get to experiment as much as you want to and at the same time, you might end up finding a look that you really enjoy.
I guess on that note, if I could get a career in anything in the world (and I didn't have to worry about salary-but solely on what would make me happy), I would probably go into cosmetology or dermatology. But I'm content with my career path as it stands now!
I'm going to go ahead and post my second blog post (Blog Number 02) which I will be talking about someone very specific. It would be super cool if you read it but I'm not going to tell you what to do haha!
Any who, if you managed to read this far, that's super cool! And thanks for that :-) Hopefully I will get some sort of tutorials up here for makeup and maybe hair! Also keep an eye out for any other random stuff I post on here :-) Thanks!!
Kara Marie
